It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end.

– Ursula K. LeGuin

The Earth Walks Through the Universe Alone

The Earth walks through the universe alone
and yet in step with others, moving slow
across the rhinestone-studded belt of space
and back again to where she was before.

She dares not travel farther than the path
she trod the year before, and before that.
If she should wander off her dusty track,
her sibling spheres might fail to call her back.

But sometimes she looks out across the space
that is her home, and wonders what it’s like
to travel straight instead of round-and-round.
The stars call faintly to her, and she sighs.

A snapshot of me (Romy)

Hi. I’m Romy. without-feathers.com is my personal site, where I blog and review things and make lists and write bad poetry and do whatever other silly things come to mind. If this sounds like fun to you, it’s probably time to take your meds. But first, stick around and surf my site a little.

I hope you have as much fun exploring this site as I have making it. :)
