Ah, books — the many and varied loves of my life. The first word I ever said was “book”; I taught myself to read when I was three, and I’m well on my way to amassing a personal library that threatens to dwarf the public library down the road. I read constantly — in the bathtub, while I’m eating (the only lapse in manners I was allowed while growing up), in bed, in the car... I’ve even been known to try and read in darkened theaters during boring movies. I have at least one book with me at all times, and I get antsy if I have to sit still for more than five minutes without reading something.
