MSNBC.com: Was Houdini poisoned by enemies?

Oh, man. And today’s his birthday, to boot. It would be nice to settle that nagging question of cause of death (gut-punch vs. peritonitis), but… poison? Really? I never imagined it… probably because it seems like the sort of bizarre and melodramatic publicity stunt Houdini would think up. For once, here’s someone who probably wouldn’t mind being exhumed; the man relished publicity, the weirder the better. It all sounds a little far-fetched to me, but I’ll be following this case with interest nonetheless.

Yeah… mmrph. Not too keen on them as a pair, although Leo’s acting (and Kate’s American accent, for that matter) has certainly improved since ‘97. Of course, the acting was fairly blah all-around in Titanic, thanks to James Cameron’s sub-par skills as a scriptwriter. When I’m watching my Special Edition DVD, I avoid the first Jack/Rose-filled disc altogether and start with Disc 2, where things start breaking and people start dying.
