Hey! Guess what? I have just discovered the REAL meaning of Suri, the name Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes gave their unnatural spawn baby girl. According to my research, Suri means “who gives a flying fuck, it’s only a matter of time until we associate this name with drug overdoses and bad B-movies anyway”. Glad to solve another mystery for you, folks.

Stepping delicately over that steaming little tidbit of info, we move on to some greater news: I have redesigned Divinest Sense for the May 2006 CSS Reboot, and I have also opened up Unweeded Garden, my fanlisting and project collective. I am also working on a collective-wide site map and a message board/forum. And all of this without being able to look directly at the screen for more than twenty seconds at a time, as my eye problems have returned and I can only use the computer if I look away a lot and squint like Gilbert Gottfried when I am looking at it. Squinty McSquintsalot, that’s my name, squinting at monitors is my game.

In closing, I’d like to thank Comcast for not being quite so dodgy with their dialup access today; my husband, for understanding why I was spending eight hours a day on the computer and another two hours flat on the couch with my eyes bandaged; whoever invented dingbats, because I can’t draw worth a damn; and, last but not least, my cat, for understanding that fingers are important for web design and not chewing mine off when I play with her. (Oh, and shout-outs to Jesus and my posse of ’postles — I may be an atheist, but I like to hedge my bets. :P )
