Justice

I’d planned to watch the series premiere of Justice, but of course I missed it; I did catch the second episode, though. I figured anything with Victor Garber couldn’t be half-bad, and I was right—unfortunately, it’s not half-good, either. Legal shows tend to bore me anyway, not because I find the law itself to be boring, but because said shows always try so frenetically to jazz things up with melodrama and sleaze. This show takes that style to a whole new level, utilizing CSI-like camera zooms and high-tech gadgetry to liven things up… but the scripts are bland, the stories are hyper-sensationalized, and since when do lawyers spend so much time working in half-light, anyway? Victor Garber is nifty, as usual, but his hair kind of frightened me. If there wasn’t anything else on, I’d watch it, but I’d rather crack out my Titanic DVD instead.

This is just to inform you that I am NOT watching either Desire or Fashion House, I do NOT actually know what’s happening on either of those shows, and I am certainly NOT going to be sneaking into the bedroom tonight at 7PM, closing the door (leaving my husband in the living room), turning on the TV, and curling up for a really, really guilty pleasure wasted two hours. Really, I swear…
