The Montel Williams Show: Rating: 1 star

The kind of talk show that makes you want to throw things at the TV screen.

I hate talk shows anyway, but this one in particular rubs me the wrong way; Montel Williams has an obnoxious habit of interrupting his guests to tell their stories for them, which bugs me to no end. On the other hand, this show is even more ghoulishly obsessed with tragedy and disaster than most other cheap daytime talk shows, an obsession I can only half-heartedly condemn since I’m a self-confessed gorehound and love a good grim tale. (But again, the interruptions. Oy.) I generally avoid this show, but I tune in on Wednesdays when I can. Why? Two words: Sylvia Browne. Watch it on a Wednesday and you’ll understand. (Again: oy.)
