Wild Wild West Review
December 9, 2006
Wild Wild West was a godawful movie, and I—even at the tender age of thirteen, which I was when this came out—certainly knew it. And yet, there was just something about this movie, something that made me rent it regularly every six months or so for about five years straight. This review captures both the charm and the cheapness of the film.
Match Point

It’s not that Woody Allen’s Match Point was bad, not exactly; it just… was not what I was expecting, to say the least. For one thing, it’s about as far from typical Woody Allen fare as you get; if his name wasn’t in the credits, I’d swear up and down that he had nothing to do with this project. It bills itself as a thriller, but it’s too predictable and unoriginal to thrill. There’s nothing in this movie that I haven’t seen or read before, in other stylish yet boring psychological suspense stories.
